Etsy and Facebook Marketplace 

People sometimes ask me if I’m selling my pieces. I do have an Etsy shop and I use Facebook Marketplace. Unfortunately, by the time you factor in the cost of materials, the hours spent on it, the costs of firing and the Etsy fees, which include P&P, taxes, fees and marketing costs, they don’t come out cheap unless it’s something I can mass produce quickly.

However, as a local friend, you can have any piece for the cost of materials if you fancy coming round to my pottery with some biscuits or cake, and I’ll help you make it, paint or glaze it, and fire it for you. I’ll post details of costs and how many hours it took me to give you an idea. In addition, I have an adopt-a-pot scheme, whereby you can give my test pieces a loving home, with a completely voluntary contribution to MyPayPal.
