Do I sell my pottery?

Etsy and Facebook Marketplace

People sometimes ask me if I’m selling my pieces. I do have an Etsy shop and I use Facebook Marketplace. Unfortunately, by the time you factor in the cost of materials, the hours spent on it, the costs of firing and the Etsy fees, which include P&P, taxes, fees and marketing costs, they don’t come out cheap unless it’s something I can mass produce quickly.

See one do one teach one

However, as a local friend, you can have any piece for the cost of materials if you fancy coming round to my pottery with some biscuits or cake, and I’ll help you make it, paint or glaze it, and fire it for you. I’ll post details of costs and how many hours it took me to give you an idea.

I’m Caroline

I’m a retired, disabled teacher who has now refocused on clay as therapy, and my mission is to share the process to help others. Not everyone can afford expensive courses, tools and templates, so I’m hoping to provide as much as I can for free or for less than the price of a coffee. All my pieces can be made on a small table using a minimum of tools.
